I'd link you to an article on why should like it, but ... there apparently is a way to switch back. I haven't tried it myself. Check out this thread: Got new version, want to go back to previous download box, the new one has no history and doesn't show speed of download, how do I go back?

Does that work?

That worked. I absolutely hate when "new" stuff is a step backward. The old download window pops up in <1 sec. The Library takes 20-30 seconds to load and open. Which one do you think is going to be lighter on system resources? Obviously, the old one.

I searched for 40+ minutes before posting. Nothing! I even found an article that said it would tell how to revert BUT whoever wrote the article forgot to include that!

Thanks, very frustrating to lose 1 hour+ just trying to open a window that yesterday took <1 sec to open!

You still see if the about:downloads page when opened in a tab works better than the Library.
