After dowloading 8.0 suddenly everytime I click on anything it stops responding, freezes up for about 10 or 15 seconds and then lets me type something. Can't get much done at this rate. It happens everytime I click on anything at all.

Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
