Thunderbird is an email client that stores your email on the local hard disk. You say you dispensed with it "years ago" are you still using the computer that would have had the information on it's hard disk? That is the only place Thunderbird stores mail, your personal computer. there is no cloud backup.

HI Thanks so much for explaining that. Yes I do have that computer but it's pretty old now. That's the one it disappeared off. There was some change that happened and something I had to do by a certain date and I missed the deadline I think and it just all disappeared. Kind regards Elaine
