
receiving illegible and encrypted emails (not bitdefender)
Hello, Since last night, we've been receiving illegible and encrypted emails, as shown in the attached screenshot. Please help us resolve this problem, as we are professionals for whom emails are vital. Thank you in advance. Sincerely, G.BOSSERT ITD

You are using bitdefender?
If so, In Bitdefender -> Protection -> Online Threat Prevention -> toggle off the setting Encrypted web scan. Restart computer and Thunderbird.

No we don't use bitdefender
You might think you don't but sometimes it's an extension. Double check.
In the meantime, you can always revert back to using your webmail access from the provider that feeds your Thunderbird. So, you can still get clean mail and send from there. It just won't be fully synched.
In the main TB window try View (Alt-V) - Headers - Normal.
