account stopped receiving messages after 140.1.1esr update I deleted the account. I then tried to add a new account. It does not ask for a password but only Name and Email. Response: "Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username, or password". Two other workstations use the same account and they are not having any issues with the account.

Disable "Hub" in Settings. Then try creating the account again.

Still In Windows safe mode, start Thunderbird in Troubleshoot Mode - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-mode-thunderbird
Does problem change?
Who is the mail provider? What are the server settings in Thunderbird?

Disabling "Hub" immediately made a big difference because we were able to enter the password. Unfortunately, it still returns "Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username or password."
We followed the remaining suggestions and still no success.
