How do I view the messages referenced by the dialogue asking me "Do you want to send your unsent messages now?" This dialogue suddenly started to appear when I startup Thunderbird. The dialogue has two buttons: "Send Now" and "Later." Thanks

After using Thunderbird without issue for several years, yesterday suddently it stopped receiving new emails. It seems like the connection times out. My internet service provider hasn't been able to help me, they guided me to change some settings but it hasn't worked. In the end they have said to just use their webmail, which I find difficult to use and disorienting.

Please help me get my Thunderbird back up and running.

And what I wanted to say is that

This should long have been core functionality It is not even apparent when you make the filters, that wildcards (*) don't work So you make a ton of filters and they're silently broken !!!

I find the general filter creation process very cumbersome, almost almost every setting has to be changed every time, the main window, locks so you can't copy-paste from it mid-filter-creation and many many other quirks that make each filter creation an annoying 20 steps process, core among which, is the inability to create a destination folder on the fly while creating the filter !

But yeah, no wildcard support is kind of crazy

for example I want to put all emails from pizzahut in a folder

But they randomly change their From URL to @a.pizzahut.ca @b.pizzahut.ca @c.pizzahut.ca @d.pizzahut.ca @e.pizzahut.ca @f.pizzahut.ca

It's like they know the filters can't wildcard ! they is super annoying !!

It's been almost a week now, and my 2 Microsoft email accounts will not connect to Thunderbird anymore. All was fine for years, but something changed that I can't figure out!?! I have gone to my Microsoft email server and checked that my passwords still work. I even updated one and it works on Microsoft server but not Thunderbird's!?!? I even deleted one email account from Thunder bird to re-install it, but when I tried a fresh re-install Thunderbird still won't connect to Microsoft server??? I'm at my wits end, and may abandon Thunderbird completely if someone there doesn't help me connect!!!

I have several accounts with GMX. Two work, and the other two display the above error message. Everything works when I log in via a browser, but not in Thunderbird. The account settings are identical for all four accounts except for the password and username.

What can I do?

I have a number of pop3 accounts with the same mail host, but suddenly one of them gives me the message "Unable to write the email to the mailbox. Make sure the file system allows you write privileges, and you have enough disk space to copy the mailbox."

I use Thunderbird on two Windows machines, and the problem is on both, so it is something in the interaction with the server, however, there is no problem accessing the mail via webmail directly on the server.

I have tried to change password on the account, but the problem did not go away. In fact, I got the box to tell me that the old password did no longer work, so I know that the problem pops up after log in to the account. Before the error message appears, the message "downloading 208 messages" (or something similar) briefly appears.

Is there a way to find out exactly what fails?

After tried many suggested steps to trouble shooting the problems, it still can't download Comcast emails. It keeps pop up "enter password" or "password failed" again and again. But I can send emails. I can't upload the trouble shooting information file to send. Thanks

After the last update when trying to send email I get the warrning of app: errer with "smtp.gmail.com". Any idea on how to fix it? Thank you for your help.

I have a SoGO email account through my educational institution. I configured the new account in Thunderbird just as I did with my other email accounts (which are all functioning well). My SoGO email was verified to be working, and I was able to receive new emails and also search my old emails. However, when I try to send emails, I come up with a Send Message Error that says Authentication required. I have checked the email address, the Outgoing Server, the authentication methods, and the server settings, and I can find nothing that is wrong. I am still able to send emails from the other accounts, and I am able to get incoming emails to the SoGO account, I just can't send them.

Hi, I' ve been using Thunderbird for years with no problems, but the other day my servier changed their settings and now Thunderbird won't recieve any of e-mails. They sent me settings and finally I figured out them to work on my phone, but not on Thunderbird. The new serivcers address is "ny201.whpservers.com" and the incoming port is 995 and the outgoing port is 465. I used the same settings that I used for my phone, but they won't work on Thunderbird. I'm supose to use SSL for incoming/outgoing messages and when I use testing connection to server I get a message of "The certificate for mail.dostie.net:995 is not valid for that server. Someone could be trying to impersonate the server and you should not continue." Can you please provide help to resolve this issue.

The attached message pops up when in coming mail is coming in, not anything gong out. How can I fix this. See attached image. I have checked my sent messages..nothing shows up..I have checked my out box in local folders still nothing shows up

A few months ago I installed Thunderbird onto a new PC having previously used it on a previous PC (so I'm not a newbie).. However I'm seeing a persistent issue that I never saw before...

I've a regular contact whose name I won't specify but let's call him Roger Smith. What happens is that whenever I post something on a forum (such as this one) and somebody replies, the replies look as if they came from Roger Smith - even though he's got no connection with the actual forum.

It doesn't happen with every forum - for example it doesn't happen with this one - but it does affect most of them. Has anyone else ever reported this and is there anything I can do to correct it?

I’m an assistant and would like to send emails on behalf of my manager to lighten her workload. I can access her account, but I can’t send emails. What settings do I need to adjust to make this work?

Hi. Since the last 2 updates, my Bell sympatico email through T-bird cannot SEND anymore emails (No errors are given but the email never comes through). I can receive emails without issue and when I use another tool (like Outlook or go directly through my browser, the sympatico emails come through) I attached the settings for the SMTP in a screenshot if that could help.

Any idea how to fix this?

Suddenly when I try to send a message I get the following error:

Connection to server smtpauth.earthlink.net:587 failed.

I have not changed any thing. I've looked at solutions on the Thunderbird forum but I didn't find a solution.

I tried to send an email to 12 recients and got a message "to many recipents"; I tried just onerecipient and got the same message. I went to my provider Iprimus' webmail and all was sent.

I have a desktop with thunderbird. It has worked fine for years. I have a new laptop. I have loaded thunderbird. It will send emails but not receive via my gmail.com. account If I "subscribe" it just goes away and does not down load the folder list I have compared the settings between the two computers and they seem to be OK I have noticed CGV has just had a similar problem with two POP3 Hotmail accounts. Your assistance would be much appreciated. GRM
