Website breakages, how to manage

It seems like more often lately that in the past. I just tried to post on the Portableapps website, and had all sorts of problems there. I had to use Chrome to post. Actually, when I went first opened the page in Chrome, I got an alert that six trackers were found, and did i want to disable them. Perhaps that relates to Firefox and accounts for some of the bad behavior? I'm getting tired of this. There must be a happy medium between security and unencumbered usage. Maybe it's one of my apps, i.e. Canvasblocker. It has a ton of settings options, and I don't have a clue what to do with them. Aside from that and Ublock, I don't see any others that fit that category. Maybe it's something in my browser settings?
