browser won't change when I type in a new address
When i type in a new address and hit enter , the page doesn't change. It stays on the same page and totally ignores my request. Please help! I've ran a virus scan and didn't find any viruses. Thanks! Using Windows 7.

hi NandyB, can you replicate this problem when you try to launch firefox in safemode once? if not maybe an addon is interfering here...

Open a second window. Does that have the problem also?
Thank you Philipp and FredMcD. The problem didn't occur in Safemode and it stopped after that. However, my system is moving very slow. I'm disabling one add on at a time to see if that makes a difference. Thank you both!
You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.
