I use IMAP on Thunderbird, and one day all of my work related folders disappeared. How do I get them back?
I think I probably added all those folders on the same day a few months ago. I clicked on compacting folders right before that which usually doesn't impact anything but they have disappeared along with a ton of emails that I need. Has anyone ever encountered this problem?
Also there is a lock icon on the email account and not on the other email address I use in Thunderbird. Hoping someone can help!

re: lock icon on the email account This just means that account uses a secure connection. It does not mean that the account is "locked".
