Firefox crashes

I am unable to open Firefox. Every time I try, the crash report box opens. I have tried to click both restart and quit, neither work. I have also tried uninstalling along with updating to the latest version. Nothing works, I keep getting the crash report box every time. I have also tried opening in safe mode which does not work. This all happened after I tried installing the Java plugin.
