New tabs will not open no matter what I do, how can I fix this?

I keep trying to open a blank new tab by using "ctrl + t", as well as, file > new tab and neither is working.

This issue can be caused by the Ask.com toolbar (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions)

Your system details show that toolbar in the user agent as AskTbMYC-ST/3.12.2.16749
