how to make this my browser

Hey mate, it is pretty simple process. Find the Firefox app on your phone home screen then hold your finger down on the app until a menu come up and it should say "about app" or "app info" or something similar. That will take you straight to the permissions also accessed within the "Settings App" etc. So when you select app info and you arrive at the permissions menu, scroll down till it says "Advanced" and then scroll down till you see the setting named "Browser App" Click it or tap it whatever your case may be, then simply select the switch besides the browser you wish to use as your default & accept any permissions that may ask if you want to change your "Default Browsers App" to "Firefox" or might say "Mozilla Firefox" you will know the prompt when U see it. Then, select your choice in Permission - (Accept or Decline) which you will do so according to your preference. NOTE... If you wish to complete this setup, then you need to say "Yes" or "Accept Changes" or whichever your options may say and once accepted, your done.
I believe that is all you need to do in that first bit of instruction I gave you mate, from within the "Permissions Menu" and just follow the additional permissions changes that pop up requesting confirmation that you agree for the said changes and this is usually a quick selection to agree or decline from the popup, Declining will usually kill the change from taking effect,
of-course by accepting or agreeing to the prompts permissions, then that will Complete the system changes, also this will create a change in the Internal Systems Configuration File, and it is setting certain Parameters from 0's to 1's and or vice-versus & so forth.
When these settings are saved and the system is rebooted, that refreshes the internal System Configuration File and unlocks other parameters and configurations that were otherwise hidden or locked or both. When these changes are saved and system rebooted, that flushes the temporary memory the device was being chocked down by and now allows all those freed up resources to now be reallocated to more critical system processes and allows the device to boot the device from its prepared configurations and provide the user with the most optimal performance and reliability of the device and can also allow updates to be triggered for availability that were previously not being offered based on the previous configurations the device was set to. That is why for this explanation, is as to why I strongly urge to follow this small but powerful step, and is why I strongly believe that it is a massive impact on device Performance Increase, it is also such a complete top to bottom realignment of the internal frameworks that fixes so many device errors being known and many or all unknown errors as well which really is a 1 step fix for almost every error your facing and you can be sure that if the reboot did not resolve your issue you were facing or open up access to a more available troubleshooting of the issue then you can safely say that you have a pretty serious issue that will likely need professional help to recover the device and return to being used once more.
So incase your wondering, I recommend at least a weekly reboot of the device, and more regularly is even better in my opinion.
These steps all just help to ensure the system configuration files are pointing the system to the new system Parameters Set and allows the system to boot to those configurations and not half of a configuration file that should have been flushed and then the newly set config gets corrupted because of the old config file settings acting as the registered file the system should be following, so by rebooting the device after any system changes and permissions are changed will allow the internal system cache to reset and sync the full system files and data to a fresh file structure and updates the full system structure and the newly set configuration files that now in this instance relates to the Firefox browser and added browser settings etc, is also now to be aligned with the correct system parameters and extensions the tie in with the application and any other applications that branch directly from the Main App, for any maintenance and cleanup and also to allow a user to better manage the application and its many functions and features available. cached data will also be reset as I have said and all data referenced to the user and the system, it will be from the refreshed data from the server and not just a copy from the devices internal system files which can give corrupted data to the users requests and so on... So a person who Reboots their device more often then those who do not, the device can only provide a much better user experience for the device owner and keep all risks of other data being corrupted and risks of buffer overload and many other risks associated to devices memory can be sure to have the best possible outcome and not falling victim to these many issues faced.
Keep your device capacity below the max storage limits and reboot a device whenever able to allow for the safe offloading of any temporary files and old config files etc. that was stored in memory awaiting for the next device reboot, to free up this valuable temporarily allotted memory addresses which the rebooting process then will flush the temporary allocations and resync the devices storage partitions and refresh the devices database and allow the system to get a freshly indexed structuring of the internal filesystem and every file and directory of the complete file structure...
So to finish off,
after that initial procedure and you set the permissions to the browser app to default to Firefox and any further permissions that may be triggered you can close the settings and reboot your device and then allow it to fully restart and then go and use the app icon for Firefox and make sure it goes to the home page. (Firefox will usually be a login or create account page)
If you don't have an account then simply sign up and then I think your good. Also make sure to watch for any further Confirmations & or permissions requiring you agree to for setting the device up to use the new Firefox app as your new default browser application which that will be the devices configured browser to use for all other links and attachments you select from within other applications that require a browser.
You should be able to select a web URL from within a text message off of your mates and that too will now directly open up the Firefox browser application etc.
It is a bit hard to say for certain that what I have given to you is all your going to need to follow mate as it would be best to of known your exact device Manufacturer and the exact model and specs etc and even what Version of android your running and if you have already downloaded Firefox or not and so on, try to include as much detail as possible for next time as it is far better for you with the result you will receive.
Cheers
Also, if you are going to use firefox on mobile (android or ios) add the following add-ons to make your browsing easier: Zoom for firefox (firefox does not have the zoom per-site functionality yet), uBlock Origin, Dark Reader.
Sorry mate I got a bit carried away there but in all honesty all you need to do is follow the steps I mentioned which is as follows - find the app icon in your app page and hold finger down on the Firefox app icon until U see a menu show up and you may need to follow the menu to show hidden options and usually shown as an arrow to either side which you press on and your looking for an option that says app info or something similar, and select that option and it will take you into settings, Thenscroll down and select Advanced,
Scroll further down and look for the setting called Browser App Select it and inside will have your currently selected browser your device is using as it's default, If you have Firefox already installed and I gather you do and well of-course as you should,
Simply select Firefox,
You may also get prompted by a pop up requesting confirmation to accept the change of your default browser application and that Firefox will be your new default web browser if you continue and accept the prompt,
After you agree to this then you can close the settings menu and restart your device and this will trigger the new settings and any other prompts regarding the Firefox browser may also be shown that U need to accept or decline so you will get a notifications prompt to allow Firefox to send you notifications etc and another will be prompting the use of your location etc,, be sure to select them accordingly and don't skip over them accidentally and decline critical system permissions etc Then find a link in a email or text that refers you to that link opening a web browser and make sure it opens up using Firefox now, and incase it prompts you to set Firefox as your default browser after that step then select yes then too and you should be done, I don't think the last step here is going to happen but hey devices can be a great pain in the backside at times so I'd not rule it out completely that's for sure as anything is possible lol
Any more help needed mate then please do include a complete device configuration you use and all os version and exact model etc and a detailed report of what you have done so far where your at what errors if any you are having, And as much exact details as possible to help get you through it all and also include your exact target that you are trying to achieve and what you have tried so far, these mate are all extremely helpful for us to better understand if we can help you based on our own experiences and expertise etc, and saves all of us time better suited elsewhere then here if it is only going to be spent writing out a response only to be told you tried it already and yet I lost the last 1 hour trying to be helpful, so just a courtesy mate and that way most important for you is that we provide you the exact answers you need in the first response to complete the help you need..
Take care
Cheers

So you know, Extensions are only available for desktop Firefox (Windows, macOS, Linux) and Firefox for Android. There are none for Firefox on iOS/iPadOS.
Firefox on iOS/iPadOS uses webkit as the base due to Apple restrictions on browser engine used. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/add-ons-firefox-ios
