For the very first time, today I got the following, "Gah. Your tab just crashed." and it now happens every time. What's up? Is this a Mozilla problem? Should I be moving on to a new browser? Help!

Hi

It may just have been a one off problem with that specific webpage. I would suggest not worrying about it for now, but if it becomes more frequent and on different websites please come back to us.

All tabs everywhere keep crashing. I could not even sign in to my Mozilla account to reply to your email and have had to use my phone to send this message. Never had a problem before a few days ago and have tried all kinds of fixes without a positive result.

Please perform the following steps to give us a crash report ID that helps us find out more about the cause of the crash.

  1. On the keyboard, press [Windows] Windows Key + [R]. This should bring up a Run box that contains a text field.
  2. In that text field, type %APPDATA% and press Enter. An explorer window should open.
  3. From that explorer window, double-click on the Mozilla folder, then double-click on Firefox and then on Crash reports. Double-click on submitted.
  4. Now, you should see a list of files that contain reports. Go to View > Arrange Icons by > Modified to get the most recent files at the top of the window.
  5. Open the most recent 5 files with a text editor and copy the IDs.
  6. Paste each ID with bp- into the reply window on the forums.

Thanks in advance!

Problem started December 29 and continued into today. In two days, as my Pending File shows, the tabs crashed 70 times.

I tried all kinds of things that didn't work such that I don't even remember what I did but at my last re-boot everything seems to be normal again. Like I say, I don't remember what I did but problem solved. I am even "talking" to you through the Mozilla site on my laptop so, I am good to go...again. Thanks for your help.

George
