STAT command error Thunderbird 2025

The STAT command did not succeed. Error getting message number and sizes. Mail server pop.gmail.com responded: [AUTH] Username and password not accepted.

This actually tells me nothing I can work with. Is this for the senders account (gmail).

I sporadically get messages through, but have to check in the gmail account as some do not go through.

How can this be fixed?
