'I have three Yahoo mail accounts, The key account is B, J account and F account are linked to B. J is maxed out on storage, so it cannot receive any mail. THUNDERBIRD is unable to get in, I can't unlink them and if I add storage from Yahoo it only goes to the key account, B. Any suggestions? I thought of removing several emails from J by hand by sending them to F, then after THUNDERBIRD has completed, send the relocated emails back to J for THUNDERBIRD to put where they belong on PC disk with the rest. Instructions, cautions, other ideas.

PLEASE?

PLEASE!

PRETTY PLEASE?

Fred

Yeah, why is he account maxed out of your mail is stored in your local machine, I guess in some sort of archive. You will need to offer more information I think. Starting with it the account configured in Thunderbird as IMAP or POP? The only viable recovery I can see it using POP to retrieve mail from Yahoo and deleting the mail as it is retrieved from the server.

However as your description is far from complete I really do not understand what it is you are doing or why.

Sorry, I'm not as tech proficient as you, Matt. Let me try again.

I have 3 YAHOO MAIL accounts. Yahoo keeps all emails on their servers.

The one we'll call B is the "KEY" account. I log in there and the other two accounts are linked in, available from the Yahoo Mail main menu. The other two accounts will be referred to as F and J. J acts as the repository for all emails I need or want to keep.

Yahoo sent me a note when I ran out of space (20GB) on J and said I could rent 100GB more at $2 a month. Okay, that's a short term until I can get ThunderBird to log in and transfer the email to my external hard drive, where I have 1.75 TB available. That 20GB represents about 30 years of email storage, so the external should last well beyond my expected life span, sitting here at 73 years old.

When I tried to get the space rented for J, Yahoo could only add it to the key account, B.

I called Yahoo and they said they unlinked the account, but I still cannot get the 100GB onto J. I'm going to call them again and then post my results. It may be a few days as my project list is not small. <sigh>

But that I got an answer at all is heart lifting. THANK YOU!

Fred
