cannot restore bookmarks from saved
After updating to version 138.0.1 for PC today I lost many bookmarks from my saved bookmarks, and also cannot restore the last saved bookmarks folder through the Firefox "Manage bookmarks" menu. HELP!

How did you backup those data?
I had backed up my bookmarks through Firefox' "Backup" menu option. After this latest update I can neither save bookmarks, nor backup my remaining bookmarks, nor restore from existing bookmarks. It's like a whole part of Firefox to do with bookmarks was amputated :(
When you updated did you choose default or custom settings when updating?
I chose default.
Where did it save the file to? And what was the file extension when saved? Supposedly, if it backup correctly it should allow you to restore or import them back.
Which one did you follow?

Hi Mark, I'm always saving to a folder on my computer. Using "Import and backup" and then "Backup", with a JSON extension. Have been doing this for umpteen years. But it's not happening any more.
That should've worked without issue with that process. Have you just tried to just copy the json file back? I heard some tried that as well? If that doesn't work you might want to file a bugzilla and see what they find?

"Should have worked" - but that's just it: it didn't. There's a major bookmarks malfunction going on here: 1) lost many already saved bookmarks 2) can't save any new bookmarks 3) can't back up bookmarks 4) can't restore bookmarks.
So how and where do I fiel a "buzilla"?
I just downloaded the latest PC version of Firefox again, and now all of a sudden everything is working again! Naturally, I have no idea how or why... In any case, thanks for your efforts, Mark :)

Bugzilla reports are not for support purposes and would likely have told the OP to get support here.
