How can I force Firefox to ask for my primary password every time I want to access a stored password?

Due to organizational requirements, I need to have Firefox ask for my primary password every time I want to log in to a site using a stored password, as opposed to having it ask once in a while. Changing the value of signon.masterPasswordReprompt.timeout_ms to a small value does not appear to have the desired effect.

When you enter the PP then you unlock the Password Manager and the Password Manager keeps unlocked as long as you do not cancel a PP prompt or manually logout via the security device manager. The signon.masterPasswordReprompt.timeout_ms pref is about reprompting to enter the PP when you cancel a PP prompt for autocomplete (some kind of 'do not disturb to login'; i.e. is about logging in and not logging out).

Thanks for clarifying the role of that setting. Is there some other way I can achieve the behavior I'm looking for?
