authy invalid code when trying to set up 2 step authentification

Ah, it was actually a solution in another similar thread I had missed: my computer clock was out of sync by 1 minute!

The only other way was for email reset and if you don't have access to that there nothing more that can really be done here.
Did you try to use other apps to generate the TOTP code and compare what code they generate (the code is valid for 30 seconds, so the time on the device needs to be precise) ?
