How can i delete pre-installed plugins/search engines?

I did remove all search engines in the firefox settings expect duckduckgo. Then why are those other pre-installed ones still enabled? I dont want that, how can i remove them?

does the status "enabled" mean they are active and running?

Firefox comes with a lot of search engines for various locales built-in that can't be removed.

any reason why google, bing and amazon cant be removed, is it the money again? if i need a search engine i can simply add it no need to force it on me.

also, what this resource://search-extensions/ can i open this directory localy on the desktop or just in the browser?

safebrowsing2.brave.com VS safebrowsing.brave.com ? does the 2 make any difference?

These are compressed into a program file and it's not recommended to edit the file. Also, the file is updated frequently, so you would need to re-do the edits.

The built-in search engine extensions are just lists of URLs and parameters to use for searching. There's no other code running. If you want to take a look:

I haven't used that site. Do you notice any difference? How did you end up visiting it on two different addresses?

Ah thanks jscher2000, if there is no code active no reason to remove them. And.. @cor-el, wow i felt somewhat stupid right now.

I edited google safe browsing and replaced it with brave safe browsing, thanks to help from andmagdo.

But some settings remain with google, i wish to replace them aswell with brave but cant find any information on that. Where would i possibly find a solution?
