Google Account Login Popup not working

I am trying to re-add my gmail account to Thunderbird, but once I get the Google (branded) Account popup window to enter my email address, then hit next, it empties the email field and ask for the email address to be entered again.

I have previously added other accounts without a problem.

Any tips?

Check that cookies are allowed for *.google.com in TB Options/Privacy & Security.
