Hi, looking at your Taskbar, I don't think Windows explorer.exe is running properly. So close Firefox, click the Start button on the Taskbar and restart your computer - hopefully that will fix it and restore your passwords, but if not, please see -

• Profiles - Where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.

• Recovering important data from an old profile.

Thank you. I got the tabs back ok by restarting the laptop but I can't work out how to retrieve the passwords from the files. The data is encrypted. I may have to put them all in manually and save them again.

Hi, you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over the problem. Never work with original files.

Thank you. I decided to enter all the passwords in manually in case the files in my old profile are corrupt. Hopefully it won't happen again.
