Having recently switched from Eudora OSE to Thunderbird, I have all my mail accumulating in the "Inbox" folder and so far cannot find any way to display a list of other folders, move messages to those other folders, or search _just_ those folders (though using the "Find..." command does display messages apparently imported from Eudora in appropriately-named folders).

Digging through forum threads here, I've found references to a "Local Folders Tree". but haven't figured out how to access that either.

Thanks in advance for all suggestions and comments!

Can you provide a screen shot of your Thunderbird, so we can see what you do and don't have? Thank you.

I'm guessing that you should go to View|Layout and tick Folder Pane.

Ah, so - the Folder Plane subcommand shows what I wanted to see!

Thanks much!

Huh - I created the screen capture, put it in the "Add images" list, then (I thought) zapped it by clicking it and tapping the delete key, which made it disappear from the AI list and "No file selected" reappear, before clicking "Post Reply".

But there it is anyway...
