pdf attachments converted to Drive?

Mountainskills

I use gmail. When I compose a message and attach a pdf from my computer (not Drive), Firefox gives me the following message: "Some recipients may not have access to the file you inserted from Drive. You may need to share the file from within Google Drive." and the choice to cancel or Send Anyway. This did not previously occur before updating. Are my recipients receiving the attachment? How an I stop this message.

Hi there!

Thank you for using Firefox!

This looks to me like an internal Gmail/Google Docs setting popping up to make sure you allow access to people you share the document with: https://support.google.com/mail/answer/2487407 (please check under the second header: "Sharing settings for Google Drive files").

I hope this helps.
