When i change my system date to a previous date,all my mail gone

When i change my system date to a previous date, ie;5 years back , all my inbox washed out. When i change it back to the correct date still no message is there . how do i get it back

Maybe the emails are still ok, but index is out of synch. Try repairing the index folder. Right click on eg: 'Inbox' folder and select 'Properties' click on 'Repair folder' button click on Ok. Select another folder and then reselect the 'fixed' folder. Did this work?
