My Firefox tabs crash repeatedly even when I tried opening them in Troubleshoot mode. When I play videos in the browser, there's this stuttering, buzzing noise while the sound lags, too. Usually it's tabs playing YouTube videos that crash, but I've also had tabs crash when I try to open completely unrelated websites. I've disabled hardware acceleration, repeatedly cleared my cache, and even tweaked some of my GPU throttling settings, but nothing seems to help.

This has started a few days ago. I'm running Firefox Desktop on Windows 11. Browsing is perfectly normal, until I try to watch a video in full screen mode. It plays normally for a few seconds and then my whole system freezes, with no response to any action except for hard reset. This has never happened to me before, and all other browsers I try do not demonstrate the same problem. Is there any solution other than changing browser permanently?

Hello Firefox community,

Has anyone else been experiencing issues over the past week where Firefox suddenly closes on its own and then reopens with a message saying that something unexpected happened, along with an option to restore previous pages?

I’ve already tried reinstalling the browser, but the problem is still happening. Are there any known issues or suggestions on how to fix this? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Since the last update I’m able to login to my banking websites but there are certain functions when I’m not able to do. Specifically I am unable to open the particular page that allows me to view my previous bank statements and download them. I get a crash problem each time. I bank with Navy Federal credit Union. And One AZ credit union I was able to access these pages using Google Chrome. I am submitting this through my phone browser because using the PC browser will not open your feedback pages. I get a page crash with that also.

Hi.

This inquiry is related to Mozilla Firefox web browser from version 140 until 148 for Windows 10 64-bit operating system. Over the years I have rarely updated this type of Firefox web browser, but in the past two or three years I get too many crashes. Some of the crash logs or reports are saved, but nothing else is wrong with the web browser other than random crashes. Now I have the latest 32-bit version installed. Should I use 64-bit instead? But now It has become very annoying. I have maximum ten to fiftheen tabs open at the same time in the web browser, but I never understand anything for why it crashes so often.
