when receiving an email with a picture, I can not see the picture.

I use to receive Email pictures but now the pictures do not open but there is an icon where the picture is suppose to be. clicking on the picture does not open it.

Are these embedded pictures? Maybe remote content is blocked. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Privacy_basics_-_Thunderbird
