Why Does Thunderbird Hang When Saving Draft? Right after creating a new email, and I "Save to Draft", Tbird says "Copying messages to Drafts" at bottom left of GUI.

The only way I could see to clear the "Copying..." message was to have Tbird check for mail in a different account. When I check for the draft in Drafts, it's not there - it's no where I checked except the original still in it's own opened GUI that opens when using "New Message"

Bottom line - can't save drafts.

I had tbird set up just how I liked it on my laptop. Then the laptop screen hinge broke and I had to replace it. Have installed tbird on new machine but cannot find the setting I need. I want the message preview pane to be on the bottom instead of on the right side of screen. I also need to know how to import my contacts from the old machine.

I am computer literate, but please remember that literacy is a 4th grade degree of knowledge so please be gentle with me. I have installed Thnderbird on a new computer but cannot import the address book from my old computer. Please help. Thank you.

In Thunderbird 151.0.1 [64 bit] I get the following error message: Error Inbox - inbox on .....[my email address] "There is not enough disk space to download new messages. Try deleting old mail, emptying the trash folder and compacting your mail folders and then try again." I did all of that, even went into windows disk cleanup to free up more disk space. I get the same error message. I have 3 email accounts in Thunderbird, only one account has this problem. When I use Outlook express I do not get any error messages but I do get a malicious email that AVG intercepts. So how can I purge bad email from Thunderbird ? Or what else may be going on and what else could I try ? I have deleted all old emails, in Thunderbird, I routinely delete old emails. Thanks alot Sam

I have 6 email accounts linked to Thunderbird. I noticed today on one of the accounts, along with inbox, drafts, sent, etc., there is now a spam icon. I didn't change any settings or even look at that email account today. This is the only account with that icon and it won't allow me to delete it. All settings between all accounts are the same, just this dang spam fire icon that I can't delete

I have a new computer and I am loading my email accounts into TB. One of them loaded perfectly but the outlook account has been trouble. I have read several forum questions/answers and tried all of the suggestions with no help. I will attach a screen print of the page I get when prompted to enter password credentials. I cannot go further until I can get TB and Outlook to communicate so I need help. I don't want to use Outlook as an email server if possible.

keep getting connection to sever failed, wont load any emails or send messages, does not show any old emails that were saved, settings are all correct tried all fixes, nothing works ?

I've recently changed one of my emails from example@cpsupply.com to example@yardsignninjas.com and I've been able to send email to other accounts most times. Sometimes the email never gets to the address I'm sending to. However, I haven't been able to receive any emails to the example@yardsignninjas.com and I need to verify it for an application i need to use for work. Why isn't this edited email address receiving mail when I use the new name?

When i try to update my schooles secure mail, i get the nev certifikat and the Root, and Ca1 under autoreties and give it the right rights but it keeps giving me this error message " Certificate verification failed with the following error: The peer's certificate issuer is unknown. (Error code: SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER)"

I'm up to date on Windows 10 with version 151.0.1 of Thunderbird. My preference is to discontinue using Windows and move to Linux Mint. The Software Manager in Mint installs and manages Thunderbird updates. I like the idea of Mint managing my software. However, the latest version is 140.11.1esr. Consequently, moving my data from Windows to Mint is not possible. A profile problem is flagged.

I've switched off automatic updates. I'm wondering how long it will take Linux Mint to catch up to v150. One solution is to install v150 independent of the Mint software manager, but I'd rather not do that. I'm wondering if there are any workarounds.

Tried getting help from SPAMfighter, but they are closed for the day. I uninstalled SPAMfighter and reinstalled. No luck. No toolbar. Is this version of Thunderbird, (151.0.1 64-bit) having issues with SPAMfighter as some of the previous versions have had?

I just started using Thunderbird about a month ago having switched from Gmail. I've tried to forward a few emails to my personal gmail account but they are not going through. Any suggestions.

a power shortage messed up my computer and i had to re-install thunderbird. now when i type in the initial letters of an address that is in my address book, thunderbird no longer completes the address.

I have Thunderbird installed for lots of users on windows 11. Recent updates caused Thunderbird to ask again to set as default, as is normal. However, if you ask it to set as default it brings up a UAC dialog. However, I have installed as a user, and am asking to change a user setting. UAC is inappropriate for the situation.

If I ask Thunderbird to uninstall is again pops up a UAC dialog even though it is not necessary and inappropriate.

Why is Thunderbird asking for more permissions?

I installed as the current user with default installer settings.

Unable to write the email to the mailbox. Make sure the file system allows you write privileges, and you have enough disk space to copy the mailbox.

All my other emails work fine, same computer same "Local Folder"

I did Edit - Find - Search Messages and then Edit - Find- Global Search and searched for messages. Now all the e-mails in my Inbox disappeared. What can I do? Thank you.

I live in Germany and use t-online for my email. I can receive emails but not send. I have tried to fix it myself but nothing I do has worked. I don't understand all the technical stuff, so this is maybe my problem. Can anyone help me? PLEASE

Maybe there is someone near me in Germany (Obertshausen) by Frankfurt that can Help. I speak German so this would not be a problem.

I have a Google Workspace account which has my company name as a suffix, ie. @chase-design.net NOT @gmail. com. When I try to add an account automatically using the company suffix, Thunderbird does not recognize it. Is there a set-up guide that shows me step by step how to manually configure that type of setup?

This just all the sudden started happening for my charter email account, I haven't changed any settings, the font turned red and can't receive the emails. I have mail washer and see the emails, they not from anyone shady. got a couple screen shots. Thanks
