It has been two times now where I will open firefox and suddenly all my profiles are gone. I have tried everything to try to get them back like trying to get "old firefox data" back or about:profiles, but there is literally nothing to recover. All of my bookmarks and passwords are fine but I have to log in to everything all over again and reset my home page with all my shortcuts. it is extremely annoying, especially when I use up all the shortcut spaces. It prompts me when I start firefox to create a profile, sign in again, and set firefox as my preferred browser. I have been using firefox for about a year and havent had this problem until a couple of weeks ago. What can i do to avoid having to do this again in the future?

I'm getting the message "It looks like you have a browser extension that might be interfering with Microsoft Advertising tools. Please disable this extension." I don't have any extensions. I can't use their site until this is fixed. I chatted with Microsoft and they directed me to Firefox.

I got a message in my add-ons that an Extension called VNNet was disabled I was not able to get a quick screenshot of it, but I dont recall installing an extension like that

I play a game on Facebook - and i go to it from a link in my email - but today it says your browser does not support WebGL - this happened a month ago but I forget how it got fixed. :-(

it worked yesterday - and I checked for Firefox updates and it is up to date. last time this happened - I did read an article online that suggested to go to put about:support in the address window and under General it said to uncheck standard performance and to click on "use accelerated performance" - that fixed it.

This time when I go to about:support - "Use Hardware acceleration when available" is already checked. How do I fix it this time? and why does this keep happening every so often?

I do a lot of downloading images in bulk for my neocities website and its really helpful for me to be bale to drag an image from say, tumblr, to my neocities tab and just drop it into the download box. I love Firefox but I couldn't find a way to use this feature, so I downloaded the QuickDrag WE extension, which allows me to drag and drop images from duckduckgo images, but not tumblr.

(for info I'm using Windows 11)

Hi, I opened Firefox to continue with my work, just to get greeted with a 'start a new profile' page. All my profiles, saved data, history, add-ons and customization, were discconected/removed. Even on my phone it logged me out from my account- logging back in doesnt retrieve my history from my previous sessions on my desktop device.

I tried logging in to my account, checking if theres an 'old firefox' folder on my device or anything like that, but it did not retrieve any of my old data.

Just to clarify, I have not played around with my settings, left or deleted anything, so I really dont understand why I've just came back to nothing.

Was wondering why this happened, how do I know this won't happen in the future, and if, when possible, how can i get all my data back?

Whenever I open a new firefox page externally, such as from the system tray or by opening a link from outside firefox, nothing happens for about five seconds and then it loads normally. When I open a new firefox page internally, such as from file ---> new window or by clicking a link within firefox, it loads instantly like normal. This has been happening since yesterday (3/13/26) evening.

I have already tried all of the following fixes and none have done anything:

Clearing firefox startup cache running firefox in troubleshoot mode running an older version of firefox disabling all my extensions disabling my antivirus disabling hardware acceleration disabling captive portal detection making sure both firefox and windows 11 are fully updated refreshing firefox reinstalling firefox rebooting my PC disabling IPv6 preventing accessibility devices from accessing my browser clearing my cookies

I am unable to sign in due to Firefox reporting ISP FFL website security certificate being revoked. I do not remember my password to try another browser. Please help

I am using Windows 11. everything was fine Thursday the 12th but I did not use the computer at all on the 13th. Updates required a restart this morning. Now when I try to load Firefox and unlock Roboform I get an internal error message - unknown function call.

I open up firefox and the message appears - you must be signed into this network in order to access the internet. BUT i can use the internet. This is not a problem on a W10 machine which I also use.

It looks like my firefox profile got corrupted during a power outage is there a way to repair it or at the very least get back my opened tabs? I had lot of them and it will take a long time to find them all again...
