I keep getting a message that Firefox is running but it’s not in my task manager.

I can’t uninstall it without closing it but I can’t close it while it’s running.

I've powered off and on and I've done everything I read online to do but keep going in circles.

I could not join a Google Meet meeting today with either an old or new Google Meet url. I don't have a problem with other sites. What could be wrong? Could Firefox be blocking it?

Hello, I had 2 firefox applications open on my pc and on these 2 applications I had different separate tabs/sessions then if I closed one after the other. This caused the one that was closed first to not reopen when firefox was launched, only the other, is there any way to bring back the session that was closed first

latest versions of firefox (now at 140.0.1) keeps opening onto my 2nd monitor which is off - how to stop it doing it. Tried making new profile which works for awhile, but sooner or later they all bump it to the 2nd monitor and it never comes back - tried moving to primary and closing it there, but next time back on #2. Open 2nd window while first is on primary, and that goes to 2nd monitor...

Old computer crashed....so lost all my bookmarks and their folders. Now in Windows 11 and I can make bookmarks for my Fox toolbar but I can't find where I can created folders for my bookmarks. Can I still do it and if so how?

I spend a lot of time opening a link in a new tab, and then once I have finished looking at it I need to move my mouse pointer over to the tab to close it so that I can go back to my main page.

I would like a simple addition to the Firefox code that would allow me to close the current tab with a double click anywhere on the current tab. This should be a simple thing to implement in a Firefox release.

I'm experiencing an issue with YouTube video playback in Firefox. When I watch a video in Picture-in-Picture (PiP) mode and then close the PiP window, the video automatically pauses on the main tab in the browser.

My expectation is for the video to continue playing in the background tab after the PiP window is closed, similar to how it works, for example, in Opera GX browser.

I have already tried changing the media.videocontrols.picture-in-picture.pause-on-disable setting to false in about:config, but this did not resolve the issue. The video still pauses.

I believe it would be a significant convenience if Firefox allowed videos to continue playing in the background rather than pausing them when the PiP window is closed.

Is there any way to fix it?

After exporting bookmarks.html from Ffox on old computer, importing it to Ffox on the new one, all good, except that bookmarks toolbar shows on the imported list but doesn't display as toolbar.

Every time i load a page i have to quickly click on the link. If i don't it will not load. Every website that has a drop down menu wont allow me to click. In order to click anything i have to refresh the page and click the link before it fully loads or else it just wont register. And it wont register across the entire page. Can't open in a different tab, cant do anything.

Doesn't happen with anything other than your browser.

I want to keep using your browser but its becoming incredibly annoying and i often have to jst say "fuck Firefox" copy the link to any other browser and it works perfectly.

I reinstalled windows on my pc after syncing all my browser data (bookmarks etc) everything but some bookmarks, i have 4 folders and 2 of them had all that was in there and the other 2 where empty is it possible to get them back somehow?

Yesterday I opened Firefox and found that it had completed a factory reset (without asking me) and I have lost all of my data and settings, particularly from plugins (Simple Tab Groups for example). I have a folder called Old Firefox Data on my desktop, and I have copied the files into the profiles folder from about:support, but I have still lost all my settings.

This is extremely frustrating and will take a lot of time to get everything back to how it was. Please let me know how to restore to my old state.

Is there a way to permanently set sorting from A-Z? When I open a file & go to site, I then have to reset sorting within the folder when I go back. Using down arrow sends me to the next folder. Have been Mozilla user for decades but didn't open account until recently. Always set to my default, even on latest PC, in conjunction with other programs. Don't like Microsoft programs.

Guess I probably owe Mozilla a donation but have tight budget, as Sr. on Social Security. Maybe I can contribute a small amount if that would help?? Don't want a subscription. Can't afford it.
