Mozila Firefox options and addons are not opening. Neither is right click.

The only button that works on the toolbar is the URL bar, back, foward, and refresh buttons. The add-ons work but they wont open no matter what I do. I tried pressing "Alt" and none of those work. This started happening today. Other browsers work fine.

Chosen solution

Did you try to close and restart Firefox and reboot the computer?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Appearance
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window
