To Firefox engineers and volunteers:

I am a native speaker of simplified Chinese, and I am currently running Firefox 149.0 for Windows desktop. There are some troubling issues and I hope to be able to fix them in the next version. Thank you very much.

The problem I encountered was that at least eight options, all in English, appeared in the browser's privacy and security settings, this has been in Simplified Chinese in previous versions of Firefox.

As a simplified Chinese user and English level of the user, I feel very inconvenient when using, I hope to get your response, thank you!

The original is simplified Chinese, I use the translator to translate into English, if there are mistakes please forgive me.

It's checked in settings, the US english language pack is installed, I did the about:config thing as well and it's still not working. Oh yeah, also used troubleshoot mode - turned off all addons - and still doesn't work.

If I search for something else it comes up in English. I have gone to settings and set my default as English. I have followed all the instructions, but I still get French. How can I change this. I am not French speaking.

I am using Firefox version 150 with the Japanese UI, and I found untranslated text. Please report this issue to Bugzilla. I cannot create an account. The phrase is: "The server at ... is taking too long to respond."

I recently move to a new Windows 11 computer and seemed to have done the move correctly, given that everything showed up, and I could send and receive emails.

For no apparent reason, however, the keyboard suddenly began mistyping in the message portion of the email message frame but not in the header ("To," "Subject," etc.) areas. For example, when pressed, z appears as {, y as z, h as i (but followed by a space), 6 as 7, d as e, and so on.

I tried various fixes, which didn't work, such as pressing windows key + space bar simultaneously, or left alt + space bar simultaneously, to no effect at all: nothing appeared, nothing happened. I looked in "Settings" to see if there were any other keyboards listed, which there weren't.

This is happening nowhere else, in any other application, but here, and I've never seen anything like it before. Also, I've used Thunderbird for quite awhile and never saw nor heard of anything like this.

I used to be able to highlight any non-English text, right click it, and choose "Translate Selection to English" to get a popup window with a translation. It would auto-detect the language I had highlighted and then give me the English translation.

As of a few days ago it only defaults to translating from English to Japanese. It no longer auto detects the language I've highlighted, and it no longer defaults to an English translation. I have to manually change the languages in the drop downs in the popup window each time.

Every help article I've found on google says I need to change language options in the settings, but they're all set to English. There's no mention of Japanese anywhere, yet Firefox insists that I want Japanese translations. My PC is also set to English.

Apparently sometimes it can still auto-detect the language since I just tried to make a screenshot and it was able to detect French -> Japanese, although many other times it thinks the Russian (or whatever) text I've highlighted is English.

Why cant I set it to always translate spanish to english??? That option is greyed out and every time i encounter a spanish page I have to manually translate it. Im getting tired of that.

Some of them are Spanish (tilde, ¿, accents, etc.). Settings/about:preferences#general says my preferred language is English(US). How do I change the keyboard layout back to standard American English?

Hello,all, The built-in translation button in Firefox disappeared on the Reddit website.

Please add a fixed access key for the 'Translate button'. I also recommend introducing an automatic website translation function. Thank!
