How do I uninstall ALOT from my iMac?

I've tried to remove this add-on but when I open the extensions window of Firefox Tools ALOT doesn't show up in the list so I can't uninstall it. Also, in trying to get rid of ALOT I trashed everything related to Firefox from my computer and reinstalled. Now, I'm getting a strange home page on Firefox entitled ALOT. How can I get rid of this stuff and get back to the "classic" firefox home page?
