Can not move message from trash
I have Thunderbird on Android 15. I can not move an accidentaly deleted message back to the inbox.
In Thunderbird > settings > general settings > visualization > visible message management (approximate translation from other language) I have selected "move".
I suspect that this is an error.

Hi Karl
What version of the app are you using? Is the account setup for Imap or pop connection?
When you select an email in the trash folder, is the move command not available within the ፧ three dot menu?
The version of Thunderbird is 21.1.
The move option does not appear in the thee dot menu.
Email is fetched over 995 port, i.e. POP3 with TLS.
I've done some digging on Github. From what I can tell it's specific to Pop connections.
It looks like for pop accounts , the capability to move emails from trash to Inbox was never implemented. Happy to be corrected if the feature was later added.
There is a feature enhancement ticket discussing it's addition but it was closed as the original K-9 developer planned to discontinue Pop3 support in the app. https://github.com/thunderbird/thunderbird-android/issues/1796
Thunderbird have later stated in an unrelated ticket: "While we're not removing POP3 support at the moment, it isn't something we want to focus on" https://github.com/thunderbird/thunderbird-android/issues/9094#issuecomment-2842184393
There is an open ticket for your issue below where you can add your feedback. https://github.com/thunderbird/thunderbird-android/issues/10922
Sorry it's not better news.

Thank you for digging up this information! :)
I think it is a important to be able to move back messages from the thrash, because it is a common mistake to move messages to thrash by accident. Also, I think it would probably be easier to solve the problem for POP3 than for IMAP, because for POP3 the move only has to be made locally while for IMAP the move has to be done on server level as well. So I think the error should have some more priority.
I will look at the open ticket for the issue and see if I can add feedback.
I added my issue to this open error report: https://github.com/thunderbird/thunderbird-android/issues/10922
I leave the problem as unresolved here as long as the issue has not been solved.
