the first issue I have is that all of my messages on the right side of classic are displayed as one full page. Select 1 and it only displays the header. A seperate click is required to open the message.
I did something stupid. I cleaned the keyboard with the monitor off and Thunderbird open. My classic display shows all of my messages as a single sheet. If I select a message it only displays the header. I have to click on that to display the message. I found that can happen in a pop account if it is turned on. But I don't know where to find it to turn it off? I am blessed ? with more emails than any human should have and it requires an extraordinary effort to delete all this garbage or to unsubscribe. Thank you I have been chasing this thing for 2 days.

Please post a screen shot. I'm not able to picture what you're describing.
You may have just hidden the message display pane. If so, press F8 to show/hide it (it's a toggle.)
Dear Lin, Pressing F8 was the magic key. Thank you so much. I have been using Thunderbird for many many years and usually when I do something stupid I find a setting is usually the cure. But being far from my youth anymore the Sherlock doesn't find the genius so easily. I worked on my first mainframe as a tech in 1969. Several months ago I ventured into a new tank printer from a major brand. It is no longer a printer. Now they are PCs' with printheads. Thank you again I was getting so frustrated with this problem. If I need to clean the keyboard again I will shut down my pc. Bless you, Dean Sorry I couldn't send a screen shot. Picture every single email stacked one after the other and filling the right half of the display. It's not a pretty sight.
