Right click not working on spam email
Lately I am getting spam with from addresses I can not use the right click on to copy the email from address for reporting purposes. I have to use the More option, View Source and then search for the From address and copy it from there. Can this be fixed?
I saved off the source if someone wants to see it.

Please note that standard email scripts do not have a built-in blocking feature, although added HTML can sometimes achieve this result.

It is correct that some spammers use creative HTML and CSS code in their emails. They use this to place an invisible overlay on top of the text or disable user interaction, which blocks Thunderbird's right-click functionality in that specific area. This is not a bug in your Thunderbird installation, but a trick played by the sender.

Switch the email to plain text: In the Thunderbird menu, go to View > Message Body As and select Plain Text. Thunderbird will instantly disable all HTML tricks and invisible layers used by the spammer. You can then select and copy the email address as usual.
Use the message header: Click the Details button at the very top of the email (next to the 'From' field). Often, you will be able to right-click and copy the email address normally from there

What prevents you from right-clicking the from address of the spam message, and then select 'Copy Email Address' from the drop-down menu?

I will just have to load the source and find the From email to add to filters

Yes, that will do the trick. I was concerned that injecting the malicious code into Thunderbird to increase the infection rate. Because the source code contains so many strings and identifiers, the footprint will likely grow.
Spammers frequently falsify the sender display name. If the spam filter fails because they constantly rotate addresses, configure the rule to target specific keywords in the Subject line or email Body.
