Emails going unread into trash that I do not want to go there

Maybe those messages were mistakenly identified as spam by Thunderbird whilst there is a user setting to move new spam messages directly to the Trash folder...?

Is there a way to right-click and moved to the inbox? Or mark has not spam?

If an unread message in the Trash folder is mistakenly marked by the "orange arrow symbol" as Spam you should R-click on it and select > Mark > As Not Spam. Normally thereafter this message will be automatically moved to the Inbox folder. If not, you can move it manually to Inbox.

I have this problem also. Even after moving the message back to the inbox it will pop back into the trash folder. It is definitely something with thunderbird because if I close thunderbird and log into the accounts webmail access, I can move the message to the inbox and it will stay there. upon reopening thunderbird, poof, back in trash.

I have messages from multiple senders going straight into trash folder. I constantly send them to inbox but Thunderbird does not learn. Even the code email to set up this account went to trash instead of inbox!

Before troubleshooting settings, make sure no one else is accessing the account.

I'd be surprised if you all have the same problem.

1. Does https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1588804#answer-1828131 describe your problem? (mixed use of pop and imap) 2. Your messages are in Trash folder, not Spam (or Bulk) folder? 3. Are the messages marked as spam? (You need to add the junk column to the message list) 4. Do you have filters in Thunderbird? If so, what are they? 5. Do you have extensions installed at Tools > Add-ons?

hmm, there are at least three within a few days in this forum with similar headings and descriptions (some olders can be found too); and you'll find more similar ones at other places in internet. All these questions have in common: 1. description of problem and 2. no working solution provided. It's a bit frustrating ...

That's why I referenced my question; I first tried to follow all suggestions I've seen, all with no avail; then I posted here.

What you're doing is fine - I'm just pointing out that reports of an "issue" with same symptoms often don't have same cause, especially when they have not been deeply explored yet.

sure, your issue is a good start, but the others are certainly not.
