I installed the new 115.0.1 version of Thunderbird, recommended in Flathub/Flatpak version. The issue is that when I launch this version of Thunderbird I lose my account information and am invited to configure an existing email address, which means I lose all my profile. Back to version 1020 in Deb version everything is fine, my profile is intact. How should I proceed?

In the "see also" section I found my solution: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1420329 This solution explains how to migrate Thunderbird profile from snap to Flatpak.

1 Copy your profile info to the Flatpak data zone:

  • from /home/.Thunderbird/
  • to /home/.var/app/org.mozilla.Thunderbird/cache/thunderbird

2 launch Thunderbird with option -P

  • flatpak run org.mozilla.Thunderbird -P
  • create new profile and then select the newly created profile in the Flatpak
