The 'Address Book now has two displays. Vertical and horizontal, so you can choose whatever you prefer. All the top you will see a Search text box. To the right of that search text box is a list style icon - click on it. You can use the last option to switch to the other view. eg: Switch to horizontal layout.

I'm using horizontal because I just prefer it that way.
