So obviously "We’ve reduced CPU usage on macOS in Firefox and WindowServer during event processing" is demonstrably false.

I went to Headspace, streamed an audio in Safari, noted the %CPU in Activity barely budged more than 20%. Then streamed the same audio in Firefox 93, noted the %CPU rocketed up to 150% and the laptop got hot and the fan kicked into high gear. Then I updated Firefox, restarted computer fresh, streamed the same audio and.....surprise, surprise no fix, no change, %CPU rockets up like before.

1. Can you create a new issue about it on https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/enter_bug.cgi ? Please send back the bug number. Thanks. 2. Previously mentioned statement is about event processing. Streaming audio is not an "event".

I find the high CPU usage unusual because I stream video on CBS and audio on Pandora all the time without problems. Even YouTube might run around 100% but it does not run hot at high fan speed.

Hey there!

See the following website on what to do to fix the performance issue:

Hope I helped!

Kind regards,
