6/7/21 Firefox just did an update on my computer. Before, the tool bar at the top was dark gray and the tabs were easily distinguishable. Now the entire area above the URL is light gray. I would prefer more contrast between the tool bar and the tabs. What happened? Thank you.

Hi , There's a Firefox theme on the addons site called Photon Colors, which I found helps a lot.

Go to https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/photon-colors/ and click on Install Theme.

6/7/21 Subsequent comment. Now the additional tabs have a white background, which is an improvement over what I had when I commented earlier today. However, the previous design before the update was more user friendly. Why does everything have to be so pale? The forward and backward arrows are very faint. There is no contrast between the tool bar and the tabs. Please don't make changes for the sake of change. The previous design was much more legible. Thank you.

6/8/21 To Chris Ilias - Thank you very much for sharing that link. It was the solution I needed, and it has returned the legibility to what it was before Firefox did the update yesterday.

This is horrible! I don't want to put ANY add ons to my browser. I should not have to do that to correct BAD DESIGN. Please restore colored tabs!!!!!  :( :( :(

I did this and it did not help. Bar used to be gray like IT SHOULD LOOK ON A MAC. Now I feel like I am using a cheap PC that is hard to use.

Hi GadsdenGurl, the Photon Colors extension was designed to mimic the old Default theme on Windows 10.

If that color doesn't suit you, and it is difficult to find a suitable theme, the Firefox Color extension lets you create your own theme:

WINDOWS?! UGH... NO WONDER IT'S SO UGLY.

I USE A MAC AND I'M SICK OF IT BEING TURNED INTO A PC.

Hi GadsdenGurl, Before the change, the Firefox theme was the same on both platforms. I'm also on Mac; I know. ☺️
