web browser works fine but cannot open emails 'connection was reset'

FredMcD besvarat

I am having trouble gaining access to my email folder. I just get an error message saying the connection was reset. All other web browser functions seem to work fine. I have followed the self help guides to try and resolve with no joy. I have been the options menus but not all of it makes sense to me :( Will uninstalling Mozilla solve the problem?

Many thanks

H

This is with Firefox, or are you talking about Thunderbird?

There is security software like Avast and Kaspersky and BitDefender and ESET that intercept secure connections and send their own certificate.

This Connection is Untrusted is sometimes caused because the computer system clock is wrong. Check the time / date / time zone settings.
