problem with sent e-mails being copied into Sent folder with IMAP settings

I have set up my e-mail account as IMAP and when sending e-mails it does not copy sent e-mails into the Sent folder. There is a window that says copying to sent folder but nothing happens, it freezes. I want to save messages in the webmail folders, not the local ones. Does anyone have an idea how to fix it? thanks

Wait until the copy operation times out. You'll then be prompted to try again, which usually works. Why it doesn't work in the first place I don't know.
