when i try to run the firefox.exe -p , firefox browser itself will be open instead of the profile manager, i've tried closing in a proper way and even restart my computer and it still the same, the profile manager will not be open. what should i do? thank you.

If you do not get the Profile Manager then that means that Firefox already has been started and is still running.

Are there any Firefox processes showing on the Processes tab in the Task Manager?

Did you look for a profiles.ini file?

Did you ever reset Firefox and have an "Old Firefox Data" folder on the desktop?
