How can I change back to version 91.0.2 from this last update. I do not like the way that favorite tabs are presented, too much space between, not helpful. I like to be able to look at my entire saved entries, not scrolling thru because they are so far apart.

Warning: Installing a previous version doesn't fix most problems

Problems with an update are generally not caused by the new version of Firefox, but rather the update process. Installing a previous version will not help in most cases. The best option is to start a new thread about your issues, where others can suggest specific solutions.

Using old versions of Firefox also poses a significant security risk.

In Firefox 91+ you can no longer disable Proton and revert changes that come with this design via "browser.proton.enabled = false" on the about:config page. Best in Firefox 91 is to set browser.proton.enabled at its default value true as the false setting can cause issues with checkboxes.

In Firefox 91+ you need to use code in userChrome.css to override changes coming with the Proton design.

Thank you for your help and time but I have no idea what you are talking about..i.e proton, etc. I'm just a 65 year old carpenter who likes it when things stay the same. My beef with the upgrade is that all my bookmarks are double or triple spaced and I want things back the way they were. Another person posted a list of versions but I don't know how I go backwards and not lose all my info. Do you know how--in simple terms-- I can just go back to 91.0.2 ?? I have disabled auto updates. Thank you

But first; Step one: How do you completely turn off update checks in Firefox v64? You can use a policies.json file to disable updates for all users. https://github.com/mozilla/policy-templates/blob/master/README.md or https://winaero.com/blog/disable-updates-firefox-63-above/

You can use a policies.json file in the distribution folder in the Firefox installation folder instead as also listed in the article, so no need to use GPO keys in the Windows Registry. • https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/customizing-firefox-using-policiesjson ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

You can use the ManualAppUpdateOnly policy in Firefox 87+ to enable only manual updates e.g. via "Help -> About Firefox".

Note that it is important to stay up to date and install the latest security patches.
