Hi - I had this problem about a year ago, and I'm seeing it again.

When I try to turn Firefox Private Network on, it immediately returns to the off status, telling me: "You are offline. Check your network connection and try again."

The network connection is fine.

I disabled ALL add-ons, closed FF, opened FF, and enabled only FPN. Tried to turn it on, and had the same problem.

Windows v10.0.19042, Firefox v 83.0, Firefox Private Network v23

DNS-over-HTTPS is enabled.

Network log available - I see no way to attach it here, though.

Thanks to anyone who can help!

Solved by Gustavo Aguilera:

"Please try disabling HTTPS Only mode and try connecting to the FPN. This should solve the issue."
