Upgraded my laptop to version 8.01. Firefox will not start. Get message: Couldn't Load XRE functions. I am running Windows 7 Professional on my laptop. Had no problem upgrading my desktop.

Perform a clean reinstall of Firefox.

If you use ZoneAlarm Extreme Security then try to disable Virtualization.

Tried the clean install to no avail. Also, disabled virtualization with negative results. Also tried to reinstall Version 3.6 with same negative results. Finally after uninstalling all and cleaning registry, was able to load version 5.0 and it works.
