Previously the plus sign for opening new tabs was located immediately adjacent to the open tabs. After upgrading to FF 5, the "open new tabs" plus sign is located to the far right of the tab bar. How do I position the "open new tabs" plus sign next to the opened tabs?

Try "Restore Default Set" in the Customize window.

Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"
