What does that mean? Where are you looking? Can you post a screenshot? When logging into gmail my password is there for me to click on. see screenshot

Thanks for coming back to me!
A few days ago, when signing in on my gmail, it requested to enter my password by typing it myself instead of Firefox giving it in automatically. Strangely enough, a couple of times Firefox actually provided the password such as it has done for many years, but at the moment I always have to type it myself.
I've tried to find a solution to this problem by refreshing Firefox and also by changing my password (actually by using the same code, but officially it was changed). These efforts did not bring any improvement and I would be grateful if you could give me a tip to resolve this issue.
Thanks in advance.
Show the issue. When you click in the password box are you seeing what I'm seeing?
When I click in the password box nothing happens.
Okay. Go here and make sure it's checked. see screenshot Then go look in your saved logins and make sure it's in there.

Thanks for your response.
I looked at these checks and they were OK. (Only the wording was a bit different, on my computer it says 'Fill usernames and passwords automatically').
The saved logins are also correct.
I tried something else as an experiment, although obviously it is not a good solution, namely by additionally downloading Opera. In there, when I click on 'gmail' from Internet Explorer, gmail opens directly my mail without me having to click or type anything!
