Can not send emails through RoadRunner Mozilla Thunderbird. Can receive. Can send in Spectrum.net, so email account is working properly. Can send and receive with android phone, just not Mozilla. Can not check for latest updates.

Please post information regarding current settings.

  • In Account Settings, select name of roadrunner account in left pane
  • look bottom right and click on 'Edit SMTP_Server' button
  • upload an Image showing the smtp outgoing server settings which the account is set up to use.
  • In Help > Troubleshooting Information
  • scroll down to 'Mail and News Accounts' section
  • Copy all the data and paste into this forum OR upload an image showing the data.

When you attempt to send an email, do you get an error message? If yes, please post an image of that error message OR type the exact error message very carefully; word for word verbatim as it may offer a clue.

I'm having the same issue. Here is the error message I get when I try to send a roadrunner email: An error occurred while sending mail: Outgoing server (SMTP) error. The server responded: p-impout001.msg.pkvw.co.charter.net cmsmtp 185.98.168.34 blocked. Please see https://www.spectrum.net/support/internet/understanding-email-error-codes for more information. AUP#Out-1130.

Info from spectrum website giving reason for the blocked IP address. AUP#Out-1130. The IP address you’re trying to connect from has an issue with the Domain Name System. Spectrum requires a full circle DNS for emails to be allowed through. Verify the IP you’re connecting from, and check the IP address to ensure a reverse DNS entry exists for the IP. If the IP address is a Spectrum-provided email address, contact us.

Spamhaus IP checker has no problems with IP 185.98.168.34 Check you do not have a VPN operating as the intention of VPN is to hide your IP address.

Try - logon to webmail account via a browser to see if it's ok with IP address.
