Multiple people use this pc and Tunderbird. When I open Tunderbird it show the mails I had last time I openend it. I would like it to be hidden until I enter my password so only I can see the emails. Can anyone please help?

I had a TB crash, and clicked "OK" to submit the crash data before realizing all the "include data" options already checked.

How can I get Mozilla to remove this crash data from their site?

While using you site and looking at joining Thunderbird mail I have been cf charged twio amounts 1p and £34.99 by library hub .com I did not authorized These payments it is fraud I'm 71 years old and nearly blind and can't afford The loss of this money. Kind Regards James Robson

Trying to use Thunderbird after break of some years and want to use Proton Mail. Every time I try to set it up I get message 'the certificate 127.0.0.1does not come from trusted source'. Previous experience of Thunderbird was that there were frequent issues like this arising.

when i log in my mail from pc(thunderbird) it works well,it requests autodiscover request to webserver it works well,but from phone it says(Configuration found this configuration is not trusted we received the configuration for you email server over a connection that isn't as secure as we'd like. this means that these is a tiny chance that someone could have altered it. Could you please double-check the provided configuration to make sure it's as it should be?) and autodiscover request not shown on webserver. can you tell me possible causes? Thanks! New European regulations (GDPR) require the use of BCC when emailing a group. This needs to be error proof as the cost of a mistake could be serious. The present system relies on me remembering to select BCC each time I write to the group.

Use BCC instead sounds OK, but I'm reluctant to use an add-in, as updates to TB could make it fail. And if I'm relying on it and suddenly it doesnt work..

Is there some way that I can create an address list so that when I write to that list it will ALWAYS use BCC? The contact data in the address book has about 50 fields, is there no way to set the preferred type of addressing?

I've read other replies to similar questions but none give the confidence in security that I'm seeking.

I tried my current Hotmail pwd, but received: 'Login to Server imap.gmail.com failed'. 'Retry', 'Enter New Password' or 'Cancel'. I tried all 3 previous Hotmail pwds, but receive the same. I added a Master Password just now, but still get the above…. Help!!!

I used Startup Master to keep my e-mails private. However, by just keep clicking 'cancel' when asked for the password, Thunderbird opens and you can read all my mails. Is there any bug in that add-ons?. It's not only happened in add-on, I happens in default master password too.

I have changed the privacy settings as suggested in the help guide, but any image I text to my e-mail is blocked. They can only be double clicked on the footer to open them in another application. Is it possible to have them load automatically in the body of the e-mail?

I found an article how to reset the master password. It worked for Mozila's password in the browser but not with thunderbird. I cannot get it to go to thunderbird's tool to reset it from there.

Currently unable to set up to an existing account on a new laptop. I’ve verified user name and password on the old laptop, but these don’t work when setting up the new one. The Thunderbird set-up wizard found my configuration in the Mozilla ISP DB, but can’t verify it. In other words, it won’t accept my username or password. I’ve done this for both IMAP and POP3, but it makes no difference. I’ve confirmed user name and password for both smtp and mail folders, and tried them in setting up. However, on the new laptop, Thunderbird doesn’t ask for user name, but just the name as displayed to others. Once I get set up, I’d like to copy my archive into the new system. One thing at a time…

I think this comes from google and they seem to want me to set my google account to accept Thunderbird's less restrictive security policy. I'm not sure any of this is correct and it thurns out there is no simple way to fix my google account. I'm losing interest fast. I have not used Thuderbird for a year, and if i'm correct, something happened at google in that time to lock me out. This was working very well a year ago. tnx

Carnot send or receive e-mails.. getting message "Server for account slamantia@nyc.rr.com not authorized for STARTLS

After upgrading to Thunderbird 60.2.1, I can no longer send messages. I'm running Linux 4.15.0-38-generic.

I get the attached error saying that I have problems with STARTTLS SMP. However, I have my connection security as SSL/TLS (second attachment). I haven't changed anything for years on my connection security. I successfully sent emails yesterday. Sending still works on my other machine (Windows) with v 59 and the same settings..
